Recent development in the COVID situation of the province, particularly in its capital town of Catarman where a surge of cases has been recorded in a week's time, prompts Governor Edwin Ongchuan to request for stringent quarantine measures to contain further spread of the disease.
Since October 7, 2020 or in a matter of 1 week, Catarman has recorded 55 cases, of which 1 has died while 54 remains active.
Governor Ongchuan requested for the implementation of Enhanced Community Quarantine in the 23 barangays of Catarman starting 12:00AM of October 15, 2020.
