COVID cases in Northern Samar reaches 130 today with 2 new cases

The Department of Health Center for Health Development in Eastern Visayas recorded tonight, September 14, 2020, 2 new COVID-19 cases in Northern Samar.   This makes the total COVID cases of the province to 130.

The 2 new cases are both from Catarman and are close contacts of previously confirmed COVID cases.

EV-3789 is an 18-year old male from Bgy. Dalakit and a close contact of EV-3486. He was observed to have cough on the 1st week of September.  Meanwhile, EV-3790 is a 13-year old male from Bgy. Bangkerohan and a close contact of EV-3592.  She is asymptomatic.

Both were swabbed yesterday, September 13, 2020.

Of the 130 cases, 78 have recovered according to the DOH Provincial Office, with 0 death. 52 are active, including the 2 new cases tonight.

As the province continues to face the threat of COVID-19, the public is strongly urged to observe health and safety protocols, boost the immune system and maintain physical distancing to prevent further spread of the disease.
