Provincial Government employees will get a 10% discount from the regular fare when plying San Jose-Catarman, Allen-Catarman and vice versa routes via AMOEC transport services during weekdays.
Governor Edwin Ongchuan announced this good news upon receiving word from AMOEC approving his request for special discount to PGNS employees who are commuting daily going to and from work.
The privilege will start on January 18, 2021 upon resumption of regular work schedule in provincial government offices.
The 10% discount will apply only on specific hours, from 5:30AM to 8:00AM trips, and in the afternoon, from 5:00PM-6:30PM trips. This privilege may be availed only during weekdays, or from Monday to Friday except on holidays, for office employees reporting on an 8-hour work basis, Governor Ongchuan clarified.
As to hospital personnel or other PGNS frontliners, the discount will apply at any time or day since they have different work hour shifts and special assignments.
All PGNS employees availing the discount will have to present proof of work such as office ID.
The special discount rate is effective until March of 2021, but may be extended as the circumstance warrants.
The arrangement was made final today through a meeting held earlier in Allen by AMOEC officials and management and PGNS Governor Ongchuan represented by Mr. Jhon Allen Berbon, PIO.
Governor Ongchuan thanks AMOEC officials and management through Chairman Cipriano Gardoque and Manager Christine Portes for this valuable assistance to the provincial government especially during these difficult times of the COVID pandemic.
