Provincial Government to send aid to Catanduanes and Albay provinces

Catarman, Northern Samar - The Provincial Government of Northern Samar will be sending relief assistance to typhoon-stricken provinces of Catanduanes and Albay, Governor Edwin Ongchuan announced today.
The governor made the announcement following reports on the extent of damage brought by Super Typhoon Rolly to Catanduanes and Albay which made landfall on Saturday, November 1. While many other areas in Luzon were hit by ST Rolly, the 2 Bicol provinces suffered the most from the violent winds and intense rains, resulting to flooding and loss of lives and property.
By bringing aid to the 2 provinces, Governor Ongchuan hopes to convey his gratefulness to provinces and LGUs which similarly extend a hand to Northern Samar whenever the province needs help, especially in the aftermath of typhoons. “It is during these difficult times that we must exhibit brotherhood amongst provinces,” he said.
For those who are willing to help, the Governor also welcomes donations. They can be in the form of instant food, bottled water, clothing, blankets or other non-food items which can be of use to the typhoon victims. Those who wish to donate may contact the provincial social welfare development officer, Ms. Jenny Darish in any of the following telephone numbers:
09457102328,
09358113234, or
09187991446.
