Tonight, September 29, 2020, the Department of Health - Eastern Visayas announced 2 new cases of COVID-19 in Northern Samar, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 152. Of these number, 127 cases or 83.5% have recovered, while active cases are down to 25 or about 16.5%. So far, 0 death has been recorded among all the confirmed cases.
Of the 2 new cases, 1 is a 28-year old male who is symptomatic, while the other is a 19-year old female. Both cases are from Catarman and are close contacts of a previously confirmed case.
They were swabbed last Sunday, September 27, 2020, along with other close contacts and suspected cases.
