LOOK|| PGNS has 2 new coaster buses

The request for coaster buses of the Provincial Government has finally arrived.  This following the influx of locally stranded individuals and returning overseas Filipinos in the province who needed transport either from the airport or seaport to the provincial holding area and even to their destination LGUs.

Governor Edwin Ongchuan decided to procure the coaster buses to be able to accommodate greater number of returning residents, especially that LSIs and ROFs arrive in families or groups.  The PIMT also anticipates more influx of LSIs as the Christmas season approaches and with the loosening of travel restrictions.

Before, the provincial government hires privately operated vans and PUVs to ferry LSIs which, due to the requirement for physical distancing, have limited capacity.
As of today, the DOH Provincial Office has already recorded a total of 15,574 LSIs and 431 ROFs to have arrived in Northern Samar from the start of lockdown and community quarantine rule.
The 29-seater brand new coaster buses are now ready to serve the province as part of the continuing efforts of the administration of Governor Ongchuan to contain the spread of COVID-19.
